My friends Saska and Mira got married at Crypt Landing in Waterton on 07-07-07. Here they walk down the dock, immediately following the ceremony.
The setting reminded me of a Shakespearean play, like A Midsummer Night's Dream. I half expected sprites to come running through.
Saska, a police officer in Lethbridge, changed into his dress garb for the reception.
Everyone attending the wedding was taken to Crypt Lake on the Lady Waterton ferry, and then treated to a cruise of the lake following the ceremony. This is my favourite pic from the day -- Mira's veil caught up in the wind as she descends the steps from the upper deck of the ferry during the cruise.
The 49th parallel, cut into the trees on the mountains surrounding Waterton Lake, to mark the border between Canada and the U.S.
Sharon, Chad and Chryslyn, on the ferry prior to the ceremony.
Mira exiting the ferry at Crypt Landing just prior to the ceremony.
The groomsmen arrived on a motorboat.
The rest of the bridal party descended from the start of the Crypt Lake hiking trail for the beginning of the ceremony after the men arrived.
