Not just another Manic Monday...

Ah, the long weekend.... It allows folks like Chryslyn and me the chance to have a good getaway, maybe all the way to Lanigan, Saskatchewan, with an extra day of travel at the end. And so here it was, Monday, slightly drizzling, and just about time for us to go. Ryan and his dad were working in the backyard, leveling the dirt to put in new sod.



The kids made sure they got in on the action. Here, Tate transfers a scoopful of dirt to contribute to the efforts.


Meanwhile, Dad was packing up the trailer for the trip home.


Chloe finally managed to give me a smile... though Mommy may have been in the background encouraging her.




And, of course, Caleb was investing himself in contributing to the greater good, with the added benefit of the opportunity to get muddy.
