Come on summer!
Admittedly, it was a little tough coming back to Lethbridge from the sunnier and greener pastures of the Shuswap and Okanagan. In the hopes of coaxing summer to arrive a little quicker, I bought these coloured-glass patio lanterns from IKEA yesterday, and bought the porcelain tealight holders from Superstore. They are now hanging from the roof of my deck in the anticipation of summer barbecue deck parties with friends.

Those patio lanterns.... very lovely
I will never see or hear about patio lanterns without a certain song from the 80's going through my head... and now, I'm sure I'll be singing it for a week. Oh well. ("Who was gonna be, who would be the first to dance? Who was gonna be, who would be the first to kiss? Under those patio lanterns." There. Now it is stuck in your head, too, unless, of course, you are too young and have no idea what I am talking about. Sigh.)
Haha... yeah, right... like I'm too young to know patio lanterns! Chryslyn and I have been singing it all week!
